Re: Students: What Classes are You Taking Next Semester?
I have met my degree requirement and am enrolled as a graduate student for fellowship purposes. Thus I am taking one "class" for six credits---thesis writing.
I would tell you what I'm writing, but its more fun to bore people to tears in person. |

Re: Students: What Classes are You Taking Next Semester?
my last semester, so i have quite a bit of leeway as i've already fulfilled most of my requirements.
physics lab II - this will be the gayest class, since it is only one credit but requires that i actually go to the labs and do work out of class. only required course i still need to take. guided tour of the planets - supposed joke class that jocks take. i plan on putting in about 3 hours of work for this class over the entire semester. sleep, dreams, and altered states of consciousness - this is a neuroscience class (my major); i've already have the necessary credits in upper level neuro classes but this course is apparently very cool. philosophy of mind - i am looking forward to this class as i'm planning on going to grad school for philosophy (i have a minor), and specifically in an area that relates to my major (e.g., philo. of psychology, or cognitive science). however, the class meets thursday and friday mornings so i doubt i'll be able to get my ass up to go to the class that often. and 3 credits of research school: johns hopkins |

Im taking...
Yoga Swimming Influence of The "Simpsons" Spanish I English Writing Requirement Yoga and swimming are both half credits, which kinda sucks because they take up the same amount of time as normal classes, but it wont be too bad because theres not too much homework. Influence of the Simpsons should be a pretty interesting class, and I wont mind doing the projects too much, and Ill like watching it. Spanish I should be good because I took four years of it in high school. The writing requirement is gonna suck i have NO idea how to write papers. UGH. Next semester shouldnt be too horrible though. |

Corporate Finance
Debt Instruments Real Estate Capital Markets International Studies Program: Chile (Global business/econ class where we go to a foreign country over spring break and analyze a company there) One more as yet to be decided School is NYU, all these classes are in Stern Edit to add comentary: -I didn't get the professor I wanted to CorpFin, so I'm a little bummed about that. My financial management class this semester went into a lot of the CorpFin toics though, so that shouldn't be too tough. -I don't know that much about the Debt Instruments class. Proably won't be too hard or tooe easy. Basically it's something I'm interested in and it racks up finance credits. -Real Estate will be killer. It's taught by Crocker Liu, for anyone that goes to Stern. He was my FM prof this semester and he's pretty hardcore (800 page course notes) but I learned a TON, so I'm happy with this one. -ISP is required for all Stern juniors. Free trip to Santiago for a week, not much to complain about there. -I still need to find a 5th class, preferably a general elective since I need more of those. |
