Honestly, it's probably something about being such a good dad. When someone tells me something like that I get a lumpin my throat.

But having sexy girl tell you how hot you make them is pretty nice too.

[/ QUOTE ]

so if you combine these two scenarios you'd get the best compliment ever

6th grade. Locker room back when I used to wear tightie whities. This kid that I absolutely hate was making fun of me for having an erection in the boy's locker room. I was 100% soft at the time. It also had the bonus of making the kid look like a huge jackass / perv.

I can say with full honesty that if the best compliment you've ever received was a comment on your beauty/dick size etc. or the beauty of your SO, you suck at life. Either you are too bad of a person to appreciate when someone gives you a compliment on something that matters or you're a terrible person because you haven't earned a compliment about something that matters.

That is, unless you do a bunch of good [censored] with your life that no one ever notices. Then you might be really awesome.

My favorite compliment is "You saved my life that day, just by being you"

Followed closely by "I think you may be the sole reason I bother showing up for class any more" told to me by my favorite professor in college. Yes, it was a male professor. Yes, I realize that the first thought that went through 80% of OOTs' minds is that this comment warrents a joke my professor clearly being in love with me and wanting to have tons of homosexual sex with me. Congratulations. You are a douchebag for even thinking that a joke like that would be funny.

My son saying, "I love you, Daddy."

My daughter telling me, "You are the best Daddy ever."

The guys at home po**r game making up some lame excuse to exclude me from a game I showed up at unexpectedly, after I had spent the past few sessions dominating the game (although it's possible they just thought I was a prick).

My wife telling me [content censored by Milo], even after 20 years together.

well, like everyone else, have received many compliments over the years. Probably more than some of you because I am older than you. Been called "Rainman" by certain friends fairly often, I am pretty sure it was a compliment.

I have been told I am a great friend and very loyal, yadda yadda.

But I think the most precious to me if not the best was when my family was having dinner out one evening about 4 years ago. My then 18 year old daughter was talking about one of her teachers my younger daughter was going to have.
This is a double compliment because descrbing him she said " He's really cool like Dad ". My 23 year old son ( who knew the teacher)interrupted her to say " He's nowhere as cool as Dad is". I know it sounds dorky buy my kids are about as unpatronizing as it gets and it made me feel good.

Being made (or asked to be) God-Father to 2 children by parents who very well might not live to see both reach adulthood.

This is pretty damned cool if the parents are in their 20's and obscenely healthy; these are in their 40's and both far from perfectly healthy.

I would love to hear from anyone who can top that.

Re: Best compliment you\'ve ever been given

I was in the process of breaking things off with this girl Ive been "seeing". She asked if I was interested, and I said yes, of course, youve slept over every night last week, I wouldnt of had that happen if I wasnt interested. She then asked to "define things". And I said that she was a smart sexy etc individual, but I simply did not have time for anything more serious than hooking up when drunk/convenient (which is true). She then asked if I would [censored] any random girl at this point, I of course said, if I hit things off as well as I did with you teh first time we met, I couldnt lie, and probably would. Disappointed her of course. Then she said, well, I cant fault you for anything, you did not lie, etc, and called me a gentleman or something of that nature. Then she left. The biggest compliment, was that she called me up after she left the bar, at about 3am, even though I blew her off, and asked if she could come over and [censored] one last time.

I am a music student so stuff with guitar always feels nice.
This ones not really verbal but

I was waiting for a flight in Australia and busted out my guitar and started playing some classical tunes, just for myself. After I finished in about a half hour the whole room (50 people) started cheering+ applauding.

Whenever I play music for people it makes me very happy when they compliment me.

I hardly ever play anymore since I spend too much time on p**** though.

Maybe it is just me but any of the big dick stuff from girls doesn't matter.

Is a girl ever going to have sex with a guy and be like "wow, ur wang is tiny, my ex was much bigger."?

First post in OOT:

"I would have hooked up with you if Efrem wasn't in the room..."

To this day (a year later) the girl still will not even let me hug her when sober. Thanks, Efrem.

Re: Best compliment you\'ve ever been given

One day 2 of my buddies called me up and said that we are going to hang out with this girl from out of town who was meeting up with some of her girlfriends from Toronto. I was a little apprehensive to meet up these people at first because my boys don't know this girl that well and I was a little shy about hanging around a group of people that I didn't know at all. My friend only met this girl once but I've seen her picture and she was pretty hot so that was enough to convince me to go as I really wanted to meet her.

We get there and all 3 of our mouths just dropped. There was a group of 15 of some of the cutest girls we've ever seen including the girl from out of town that I wanted to meet. We were the only guys there so were literally pinching ourselves.

Some background on my boys. They are really good looking and WAY better looking than I am. One of them happened to be my cousin, nice guy but has a personality of a doorknob. When girls see him though they instantly go apeshit. The other guy was best friend and the best looking guy there. He's used to having girls fall all over him. I'm on the other hand pretty shy at times around the ladies but one thing I had going for me was that I was really witty and could always make a girl laugh. I'm also very charming if I say so myself. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

To make a very long story short, our group had the most amazing time ever. We managed to get into this bar even though all of us were just underaged. I think a lot of it had to do was that the doorman saw that we were hanging around a group of sweet looking girls. Nonetheless we had a great time.

Throughout the night there were plently flirting and stuff. I can also sense the the girl that I initally had my eye on had fancied me to during the night. At the end of the night when we had to leave and while we were exchanging hugs and kisses she and a few of her friends came up to me and told me this was the best night of their life and never had so much fun before and all because I was there. They thanked me and it made me feel pretty damn good.

After we got home, Melony called me the next day and came on pretty strong trying to hook up with me. My boys had already told me before she called me that she had already talked to them and was trying to get them to help her hook up with me.

So we all came out to meet again later that day. Thing I found out was that a few of the Melony's friends were also head over heels over me. They told me that they were happy for Melony but wished they could be in her shoes. I couldn't help but feel how awesome that felt to hear that (especially from a dorky guy like myself). To nail the hottest girl there and have all her friend's blessings was something else. My cousin hooked up with another chick there. The only one that didn't get hooked up that night was my best friend and he was pissed like you wouldn't believe! LOL [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

One that comes to mind (although it kind of freaked me out at the time) came from a girl I was kind of seeing. I had known her for a couple weeks and she was in a [censored] mood or something and we were just hanging out, I guess trying to cheer her up. Out of pretty much nowhere she just stops and says, "You're the first person in a long time I've actually wanted to spend time with, someone that makes me happy." or something to that effect. Lots of "I love you's" too and stuff about music.
