They are not, they are 10g. However, the chips that are made at fox are availble, they are just over a $1.00 a piece. Whereas the 11.5 clay-filled are .30/each.

I bought a whole set of chips from Paul Son a few years ago. This is the company that makes the chips with the hat and cane embossed along the edge.

The chips were surplus props from a James Bond movie. 1000 chips were about .60 each. They have held up great and are are almost identical in feel and sound to the regular chips used in the casinos (the main difference is they are not allowed to use the same color combinations that are in play in the casinos).

Check on ebay, I have seen more of them up for sale. Type in James Bond poker chip in the search line.

I would also love to order a set of custom chips from Pokerchips.com. Someday I plan to. In the meantime, I have 1000 of the Marlboro poker chips that I think are a nice compromise between custom and plastic. Also, when I get my custom chips, I can use the Marlboro chips for the lower values.
Anybody else have comments on the Morlboro chips?

A friend of mine gave me a set of the Marlboro chips that his ex-smoker, ex-wife left. Disregarding the logo, they're more or less the same diamond chips we already had for our micro-limit home game. They do have more rounded edges, which is nice, but there weren't enough in the set to use them exclusively. I've only pulled them out a few times when we had a tournament or lot of players re-buy in a regular game.

Someday, I, too, hope to purchase a custom set of real chips but, when the average player buy-in is less than $20, it's difficult to justify $500 or so for a set.

Use the Marlboro chips. If you trust the other players or you're not playing for too much money, they're just fine. They're certainly much better than the cheap plastic ones or, even worse, pocket change.
