I loved it. Like I said, where I play back home, the blinds go twice as fast, the field is doubled (usually), and the antes are higher when they come into play. With this structure, There is one extra level (100/200 with and without 25 ante), the antes come into play a few levels earlier, and it gives players a better chance to actually play some poker. Not only that, back home they pay MUCH fewer positions and rake in MUCH more. The Bellagio tourney was very player-friendly, at least the most player-friendly live tourney I've ever played.

I think another thing that may have helped me do well was the quality of players. Back home, there are a lot of donkeys, and more times than not when I lose a tourney it's with the best hand going in. Here, players aren't necessarily tighter but are smarter and take less -EV chances.
