Wow, I don't think there's any way to justify how he played this one. And admittedly as a NL400 player I don't know a lot about high stakes--aside from what i read here--but he played that hand terribly.

It seems to me that GG only has one gear and rarely adjusts to his opponents adjustments to his style. I feel like he's a great guy for these guys to have in their game.
