After watching Live at the Bike tonite, I would accept being staked in this game. It's pretty much the caliber of a NL25 game. Maybe NL50, but that's pushing it.

These guys are playing 50/100 NL. I think that the variance would be insane however.

Yes, I would like someone to stake me. I'm pretty sure that I'm a winning player at 5/10 but I don't have the bankroll for it. So I can sit and grind out the 5/10 bankroll by playing 2/4 for another two months or so, but it would certainly be faster and more profitable to get someone to stake me 10K and then to jump right into the 5/10 games.

noone in their right mind would ever stake you for 5/10.

and by that i mean, i would jump at the chance

Re: POLL: Would you want someone to stake you?

I'd want someone to stake me because currently I'm in the midst of paying off the remnants of a messy breakup with a girl with a terrible financial mind. Paying off an eviction, and more - takes all of the cash I make working.

Whereas I might be able to find a spare $50 or $100 lying around in the next few weeks, that's not really enough to play anything without a terrible risk of ruin. Well, $110 would be enough to restart in small SNG.

But in response to the poll, I would say yes - but only with a deal that was hammered out as to exact percentages of profits, date of breaking the deal, and with someone I could be in direct contact with at least daily. Someone to discuss hands with, etc - since it'd be their money I'd really want someone that had a true interest in the game, maybe even willing to mentor a bit.

I staked someone one time and it was OK I guess. I really don't think staking is a great idea unless it's just a friend helping out a good player and they don't have a huge profit motive.
