Re: UB questions

Since you need 10 UB pts for every $1 in bonus money, and the rake structure is such that the max. you can earn in a pot is .5 UB pts, isn't this effectively worse than a 20x raked hands bonus requirement (and this doesn't take into account that some pots will only earn .25 UB pts)?

I was tempted to do it, but that clearance rate scares me...can someone try and convince me otherwise? (I would like to do it if it seems worthwhile).

Re: UB questions

It clears at over $3/hour/table at 2-4.
If you 3-table that is ~$10/hour.
If that is worth it then play, otherwise don't.

Re: UB questions

Also, you have to realize that the UB bonus doesn't expire. So it's not like you have 10 days to complete it. Plus I like getting a little bit each time I play rather than having to wait to clear the whole thing. I play 2 50NL full ring tables and I clear about $2.50 an hour. UB has become my main site since the Party thing, so I don't mind $2.50 per hour juice money.

Re: UB questions

Would playing Pokershare be essentially the same? I mean, if I had to choose between Pokershare and UB since they are on the same network and have similar bonuses, would it matter which I chose (or if I simply played both)?

Thanks.

Re: UB questions

The UB software is fantastic - easily the fastest out there. I am pretty sure I can get in 450 hands per hour 4-tabling 5/10 short. The games are good, too...

That said, the bonus clearing rate sucks (although the method (continual release) is superior to most sites.

I wish I had signed up there with rakeback, but it sounds like I'll just move over to Pokershare and do that.

If you look at bonuswhores.com they have a reload history.

Seems to be broken. Does this BW feature work for anyone else?

Re: UB questions

if i can add my two cents,

i like UB b/c at the low micros i play (.25/.50) i can clear a bonus, which i generally can't do with any speed at any other site. playing .25/.50 6max, the bonus clears at about $1.20 an hour, which is fine with me. at .50/1 6max, it would clear about twice as fast.

I can't help but feel the UB bonus structure is the direction many poker rooms will end up going: big bonus, lots of reloads, doesn't expire, but requires a lot of hands to clear. they encourage you to make a big deposit, and have that money there for a long time(and thus making money for them via whatever investment porfolios they use).
from a business perspective, it makes a lot of sense to me.

I just opened up an UB account, do I need a code for the 40% up to $200 offer?
