Re: Quiz hand

preflop: reraise to 140-160, call a push from BUTTON or push a raise from BUTTON. Fold to a push from MP.

flop: without MP in the pot, pot-comitted, push. With MP in the pot, scary flop, proceed with caution. Non-scary flop , bet 3/4 pot.

Raise to 200ish, although I have a funny feeling Matt is going to try and justify a call.

Assume typical loose but not crazy 5-10 6-max Party players, who will not put their stacks in with nothing but will fire hard sometimes with nothing. $40 calls generally mean minimum unsuited connectors, and sometimes sandbagging. What should Hero do? Post your vote, but please DO NOT post an explanation. I will give my answer tomorrow.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $10 BB (6 max, 5 handed)

MP ($1211)
Button ($522.55)
Hero ($1012)
BB ($919)
UTG ($158.02)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $5.
UTG raises to $40, MP calls $40, Button calls $40, Hero .....

What should I/Hero do?

Edit: By all means, if you have flop plans, post them.

Raise to $250. Hope MP goes away.

TWP, if youre gonna reraise here I'd want to fold if the MP. Do you think he will really have ako/s enough times to make this a call?

Re: Quiz hand

All in. UTG calls, MP folds, he surely would have raised UTG short stack if he had AA-QQ, AK, button wants to call 500? let him.

If you want to get cute, this has to work very well, you minraise, UTG moves in, hopefully you snag a caller or 2, and then you push. That's fun.

Play it like it's 44

The only difference is if you flop a flush draw, but besides that, I play it just like 44

Wholy moley I thought everyone had ~1k stacks, I take what I said back

That's what I was going for, but he said not to explain why.

raise. At least enough to put utg all-in. I'd make it 200 more or possibly all-in.
