This is going to sound totally bizarre, but I enjoy that feeling.

Ditto.

Edit: Strange coincidence, but all three people responding in this thread saying that they enjoy this feeling are from Los Angeles.

Re: Nosehairs

Just get a nose hair trimmer from sharper image. They do a good job without hurting like hell.

So, the quality of life in LA is so bad that yanking out your nose hairs is an improvement??

agreed. my wife thinks im nuts.

It's like when you eat really hot chili peppers your brain can get addicted to them because some part of it enjoys the pain somehow. or something.

No, jason just likes making elaborate statements that have no meaning and that revolve around living in LA.

I have 2. Panasonic and Remington. I love them both.

Get the best model you can.

"get one of those electric groomers?"

Well, maybe I just don't have the right one, but I have tried this and it just didn't work well enough.

I'm old enough to have ear, eyebrow and nose hair that is naturally long enough to braid. That said, I don't want to look like Andy Rooney so over the years I've used many of these devices.

Old man's advice:

Don't get the circular type trimmers. My experience is they just don't work.

You can get good quality sissors with a blunt end but I agree they suck.

I bought a Remington "Titanium" rechargable trim kit a year ago at the evil Walmart a year ago and love it. This has heads for nose/ear (ears get hair when you age) along with a decent set of clippers for my neckline (I've used a Flowbee to cut the rest of my hair for fifteen years). Unfortunately my clipper doesn't show up when I used Google search - apparently Remington discontinued it. But the nose trimmer head is flat accross and looks something like this

BTW, I didn't realize plucking nose hairs is bad. I learn something new on 2+2 every day.

Does anyone use tweasers in their nose? I have tried this twice in the past month

Some countries use this as a method of torture.
I get right up there with a pair of scissors. Just scrunch your face so the hairs poke out and and clip them.

Right, the oscillating type is much better.

This one is simple and good.
