I agree there, too.

Is there any chance that Paris simply won't spread lower limits? After all, the table limits at Paris are going to be higher than Bally's.

Again I will ask... How do you feel as a player when a large group, yourself included, all want to start a game/limit, and you're turned down? Maybe MGM is the exception to other casinos... People walk up and want to play 8-16, they spread it... 15-30...they spread it... Crazy Pineapple/H.O.R.S.E., they spread it...you get my point.... I just thought a room like Paris should spread what the people want to play...

Disappointed. But I don't expect Paris to offer a $5 craps table just because 10 guys and I want to play the pass line for a redbird.

Of course, the reason that all of these rooms will spread the lower limits is that the way rake and time charges work they pretty much make the same no matter what game is being dealt, they just need butts in the seats. Not true for other table games.

I talked to a manager last night. They said they would not be spreading less than 3-6. There was one 4-8 late last night and several 3-6. They said they will spread 3-6, 4-8, 5-10, 6-12, 10-20 and whatever else the players want, plus kill games. They're also considering spreading no less than 1-3 or 2-5 no limit in place of 1-2. I encouraged them to do so and not spread 1-2, although last night there was a 1-2 game going (it did have a lot of money on it).

The location in the casino is fantastic, right near a bar, and practically the first pit you come to when you enter from the front doors. The games last night were quite good while I was there.

Time will tell, but it seems like it will turn out to be a fine new room.

I am looking forward to visiting Paris's poker room (nook?). The Paris buffet, esp. the morning one, is one of my favorites, and the chance to hit that, then sit down for some poker either there or at nearby Bally's (which I have also enjoyed in the past), is tantalizing. Might have to dust off that old Park Place Connections card and see how the rates are for January ....

I'm with you. That's close to heaven on earth, pigging out at that buffet and then parking for a long session. This has the makings of a popular room. I'll wait on the reviews.

What happened to "AllVegas" for the grand opening? Still one of my favorite bookmarked sites, but he must be out of town or something...didn't see anything on the new Hilton room or Paris. People like certain rooms for certain reasons... Just from preliminary reports, this room offers nothing out of the ordinary, to make it stand out/unique, whatever... 7 or 8 rooms have opened up this year, and aside from Wynn and MGM, I'm not impressed by any of these pokerrooms...

What's with you and the anti-Harrah's crap? You seem to be going from post-to-post on a corporate conspiracy rant. You get bad room service? The wife get hooped at the blackjack table? You a disgruntled former employee sitting in his underwear and cleaning guns? Like another poster said, buy some stock if you think they're so freaking evil. Evil corporations tend to make a lot of money.

Try the breakfast buffet at Paris. Maybe it will cheer you up.

Being in the gaming industry, you hear so many things about the "evil empire" known as Harrahs... I, for one, go from property to property in Vegas and can't tell who it's being run by...they all seem to have a unique feel to me...
