Re: 6 or 10 seat table. which do you prefer and why?
One downside is that I've recently been playing a lot of tourneys and I'm finding it hard not to play all those trash hands that are so profitable in 6-max.

I usually avoid the 6-seaters because they seem to require actual skill. In 10-max, if I want I can mostly just sit back and nut petal ... pettle ... pedal ... never mind.

6-max anyday. I just think it takes a lot more skill to be truly successful at it. Anyone read a book and learn to raise PF and bet every street w/ tptk, but it's always fun to figure out when to value bet bottom pair vs 2 people.

[/ QUOTE ] It doesn't require more skill, it requires more independent thought. I reckon this will change over the coming year or two as more and more books on shorthanded play are published. Though I reckon the HUSH forum here will serve better than most books. I occasionally value bet bottom pair against two opponents in full ring. But I just rock. |

Re: 6 or 10 seat table. which do you prefer and why?
i prefer 10 handed tables because i like to multitable, i'm sure alot of people multitable the 6 max but, i'm somewhere around 18-24 vpip and like to watch hands through.
If I played 6 max i'd be involved too much and think I'd be missing information that i'd glean easier from 10 handed. note: if my fish list guides me to the 6 max i will play it but, i'll two table instead of my normal four. |
