Call vs. cap - meh.

But, worst...fold...ever.

All in favor of not folding say "Aye."

"Aye."

But you should have said all in favor of folding say "[censored] me."

I'm calling the 3 bets here. There are a lot of 3-betting hands button may have that you either have dominated or have 6 outs to beat. A cap is too frisky in my opinion, but you can't dump AK here IMO.

It's too soon to put someone on AA/KK, so get in there.

Edit: AYE!

Cap it. Your reads are pretty much meaningless, and the guy who plays 50% of his hands isn't going to be very hard to play against postflop.

I'm with Smiley on a lot of points in this thread and I can't remember calling with AKo preflop.

Cap to drive out small pocket pairs of MP1 and MP2.

Doesn't work like that, sir. They aren't folding.

I've never done this before. But being on the small blind, I thought it was a good play. Am I an idiot or actually learning?

MP1 is 25/8.3 after 12 hands. Button is 50/6.25 after 48 hands.

Re: Dropping AKos preflop

I folded AKo in position last night to a 3-bet from someone who had a PFR of <1 over 400+ hands. That's the only time i've ever done that, though.

I'd also not cap here for 2 reasons -- AKo OOP with a lot of action isn't superb and I want to see how much the initial raiser likes his hand.

I'm starting to get the feeling that this AK debate is one of those pretty unresolvable poker debates that probably is so close EV wise as to not be worth worrying all that much about.

I'm willing to say that I think calling 2.5 cold and capping are both perfectly fine ways to play this hand.

I agree completely. I think it more depends on table image and specific opponent tendencies more than VPIP/PFR/TOT-A.
