And...from a guy in my 10/20 game the other night, "the 5 is in every straight except Broadway...just like the 10 is in every straight except the wheel."
The dealer and I pointed out that the 5 doesn't quite make it into the K-high straight either for example (among others) but didn't labor on the point and just got a nice laugh.


Some others:

Stealing the blinds is easier from UTG.

33 is the 'magic' hand.

AA never wins.


And another one live from the table, "those statistics they show on TV aren't how the cards really run. When it says a hand wins 80% of the time it usually only wins around 50%."



My two live at the table quotes were both from the past couple weeks.
