Re: Anyone afraid of Empire\'s Tuesday reload?

My response to their mass bonus email:

I would consider depositing again on your site, but
its my understanding that you close accounts with no
notice and no reason provided other than your
accusations of players "engaging in wrongful and
suspicious activity". As such, I will no longer be
using empire poker for my online poker. You would be
able to regain some of my business if you were to
provide those players with truthful and forthright
answers regarding their account closures.

Thank you.

I'm just getting started playing online, and have spent the last several months on the forums, gathering information. One of the recurring themes I've discovered is that a huge number of people play only for the bonuses, moving from one to the next. I suspect many of them have no idea what their win/loss rate is, but they can all quote you their exact hourly bonus-earn rate.

This can be funny. There are at least three people I know personally that play only bonuses and adopt what they call a play to "not lose" style at 1/2-1.

I will sit it out not because of fear, but because of the 10x. I make almost exactly the same amount at Eurobet in the 5/10 6 max with my rakeback deal. There is no reason to tempt fate by playing 1001 raked hands and cashing out.

But thats what they want. For you to play there when you wouldn't usually.

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you seriously implying that they want people doing their bonuses, making a net loss for empire, and then don't care whether they will generate any subsequent profits or not?

I doubt they expect a majority of players to stay there. But there is a percentage that does stay there, and thats what they're after. They can't be punishing you for not staying there, its ridiculous. Thats why you haven't heard Empire say they are closing accounts for "only playing there for bonuses" because its not the case.

dealer_toe, like others, you're just spewing opinion. You don't actually know if it is or isn't the case. Eventually we'll find out.

For me, the facts of the matter are:

* I only play Empire for bonuses
* I play at limits that generate more rake than the bonus pays out
* My account was frozen

Now I can surmise that Empire is closing accounts that only play for bonuses. But I don't actually know that for a fact, so I'm not going to state it as a fact.

Repeat after me " I'm white, and I live in the 949"

As to the original question, I whore empire every month, if they give it, Ill take it(bonus $ that is, no need to let your mind wander here PLEASE). I have aRB and after the MGR deduction still clear $100+ at the end of themonth, I think I have little to worry about.
