Re: Depositing Large Sums of Cash

"How do you guys go about depositing large sums ($10,000+) into your bank accounts?"

I carefully fill out the deposit slip for the correct amount, and then hand the deposit slip and the cash to the bank teller after standing in line and waiting my turn.

You don't have to worry about reporting requirements, the bank is responsible for filling out and filing the forms, and they have all the information they need already, they got it from you when you first opened your account.

In regards to the SAR form, it is actually illegal for the bank to tell you that they are going to file that one on you.
