You can get a CRT monitor off ebay for $100 brand new that has 1600x1200 resolution which is all that's needed for 8 tabling.

The Dell 2001fp's are extremely hot and sexy but run you 6.5x the cost of the cheapo CRT monitors.

nice so 8 table with little or no overlap? Guess I'll go with a CRT then even though I didn't want to. How many inches is that?

usually 18\" but check

most 18" CRT monitors support 1600x1200 resolution. Just remember to check, if it's not displayed, ask the seller. Remember, it's not the " that matter, it's the resolution.
Also - to clarify, 1600x1200 monitors support 4 tables with no overlap - IT DOES NOT SUPPORT 6-8 TABLES w/o overlap on that single monitor. For playing 6-8, I highly highly highly reccomend getting 2 monitors.

hope that helps

also, there are no single monitors that support 5+ tables with no overlap

yeah I dont get why you're so stuck on 1 monitor for playing 6-8 tables. I don't think there are even vid cards that support high enough resolution for 6-8. If there is, the monitor to do it would cost thousands.

My monitor is at 2048 x 1536 resolution but to six table the tables overlap vertically, can see the cards but not the chat / buttons. Cost like 200 bucks at best buy. Anyone know the cheapest computer to buy with spots for 2-3 videocards?

this isnt dell, but it fits your other requirements. funny thing is the video card that supports this monitor cost more than each of my flat panels...

i like the 30"er

they have that at the Apple store near me. the thing is absolutely massive. obviously the first thing that came to my mind when I looked at it was "whoa you could fit like 10 tables on that thing"

Yea I really just want one screen not 2. I don't want to be flipping my head back and forth between screens, just wanna kick back and relax.

So far, I like how Festus's shot looks. That's exacxtly what I want. 6 tables on one screen. I'll probably go with that computer. Thanks again Festus for posting the shot.

Re: 6 tabling and 8 tabling monitors?

I have two 20" NEC Multisync 2080UX+ LCD monitors. The framework on this particular monitor is quite narrow so having them lined up next to eachother is really no hassle. Besides, the image quality is just outstanding. It went for roughly $2400 a piece when I bought them, but I think you can find one for $1500 or so now seeing as the prices have dropped considerably. Make sure you get a dual DVI gfx-card if youre going for this monitor setup.

just build your own computer with just the barebones to play poker instead paying all the extra money from dell. you can get pretty much everything cheap from bestbuy.
