I'm such a tool. I deposited into my party account just for a crack at this BBJ. Playing 2/4 full and I normally play 5/10 6-max, what the hell...

Fortunately, I have never hit so many sets in such a short period of time in my life. It's amazing. Just keep hoping I improve to quads and somebody goes to a straight flush...

This is good times though.

Oh, and it's at 522k and counting...

a 10% administrative fee? screw it.

It's actually more than 10%, because party takes their 10% cut of the total jackpot then some of it stays in the jackpot and they get paid on it again and again when the jackpot hits again.

I've only played the BBJ tables for a couple of hours, the 2-4 game is loose as anything and crappy, but I still find a way to lose most of the time (went on one nice run to even it out though). No hands that came close to qualifying while I was sitting...darn.

Re: Party Jackpot $500,000!!!!

Assuming a $500,000 jackpot, here's how it splits -

10% to Party - $50,000
20% to seed next jackpot - $100,000
70% to players
- 50% of that to the loser of the hand - $175,000
- 25% to the winner - $87,500
- 25% split among the other players - $10,937.50 each at a 10 person table

Can't complain about that!

I don't think this is illegal. There's a group of guys from my local casino that do this whenever the bbjp gets high. Everyone just plays qualifying hands and checks it. Then, they split all the money evenly.

I'll be around today if you want to get a table going.

Smacks of collusion, doesn't it?

Re: Party Jackpot $500,000!!!!

lets start a table, the only thing in the rules is:

"Players must play their hands independently and cannot tell opponents how to act or reveal their hand to other players. Violations will disqualify the hand for the Jackpot."

and that seems just hand specific, not even a general comment like don't raise preflop, which i say all the time. =] Lets start the 2+2 table, mine are al full.
