he would have to have a serious burst of energy and effort at the end which quite frankly I'm not sure if he's capable of. if he has the mental resolve then I think it can be done but I think he chokes.

There are 4 sports/news stations in Atlanta, and 750 carries zero sports talk shows during regular hours.

I only listen during the drive home, so I wouldn't know. Chris Demino and Chris Cotter (Carter, whatever) pwn.

Aren't you a little young to already be listening to talk radio? (Even if it's sportstalk)

How is 18 too young to be listening to sportstalk?

By the way, Dimino has his own show on in the mornings now. They moved the 2 live stews to the afternoon slot.

The 2 live stews will have their own show on ESPN2 tonight at like midnight or later. You'll have to check.

Anyways, it was on the Smith and Chernoff show. Pics aren't up yet, but the intern ran the 100m dash in...

21 seconds flat. In fact, apparantly the intern could have made it there faster had a taxi-cab not pulled by the curb near him. He had to slow down to run around it.

They had 2 listeners on the line, one who thought the intern wouldn't do it, and the one that did. The one that did won a free dinner at a luxury restaurant in the Atlanta area, though I had not heard of it (which is strange, because I've been to most every restaurant in Atlanta short of Indian cuisine).

No, 99x is alt rock.

This is a sports AM station.

In other words, stop cheating by trying to type "fat" and "atlanta radio station" into google, because I know there's an intern at 99x named Fat Kid. Different guy.

I missed where you said "sports" in the original post. I wasn't googling anything, it just sounded like something 99x would do with Fat Kid.

Thanks for posting this.

It got me out of my chair, and I dragged my 38-year-old, 330-pound, non-smoking, non-exercising, McDonalds-eating, limping-with-arthritis ass out to the park, to see if I could beat 22 seconds.

I was close.

But I wasn't too disappointed. I didn't train, and I ran at about 75%, not fully trusting my knees, back, nor heart. I'm sure that with a very minimum of training (say, ten minutes a day for a week), I could get under 20.

Actually, when I was in the army and running all the time, I don't think I could break 15. 20 may be optimistic.

Props to the old guy for cracking 22.

EDIT: Oops, I just reread the OP. I ran 100 YARDS today, not meters (an extra 8 yards or so). This stuff is tougher than it looks.

(God damn, my knees are KILLING me! Like I said, thanks A LOT for posting this. I'd hate to be that old guy today.)

Well, this guy wasn't old. He was just out of college. So he was running full speed with no arthritis whatsoever.

The 95-year-old Japanese guy wasn't old, and just got out of college?

I knew that Asian culture put an emphasis on education, but gee whiz!
