The powertool thing put Pam Anderson on the front of my list, too.

Born in 1967, though.

Search also turns up that she was discovered at a CFL game, when a camera man showing shots of the crowd for the Jumbotron saw her, and put her on the scoreboard. The place erupted. Labatts beer, a sponsor running a promotion during the game, saw the response, and signed her up to do some ads. The rest is history.
