Definately the most +EV for me.

If not me, then another 2+2'er. If not another 2+2'er, a good looking, outgoing 21-25 year old, regardless of gender.

Some young pimple faced kid...oh, wait...that was already done in 1989. Ok, some young kid that has only been playing for six months, and won his seat in a $1.00 online tournament

what winner will make the game best for you in the coming year?

complete unknown from midwest?

[/ QUOTE ]I choose that because I have 20% of a complete unknown from the midwest.

I would prefer someone who can popularize hold'em in Asia. Asia (China and Japan) is full of enthusiastic gamblers and arguably the biggest untapped market in the world . Hold'em is pretty much unknown in the east right now, and if it ever gets as big as mahjong or pachinko, we would easily have 100 million new fish at party. I agree, Hanson or any unorthodox type of player would great. Also, Elmo.

Since Barry Greenstein donates his tournament winnings to assorted good causes, if he had won it would have definitely been +EV for the world.

Everyone seems to think a woman would be a good candidate. As a woman, I think that would be moderately -EV for me, personally. (I get underestimated a lot at the poker table.)

And I think, by and large, women play tighter than men, so I'm not 100% convinced that the money brought in would be nice and loose.

But if one wants to bring women in (which would be a nice vast assortment of novice players) I vote for a soccer mom. Whoever said Shannon Elizabeth wouldn't bring in the women was dead on. She would just increase the number of <21 year old males trying to crash the ME next year.

Personally, I vote for a Gus Hansen variety. (No disrespect to Gus.) The thought of a bunch of poor players trying to bluff into me with 47o all next year gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.

Strictly on the basis of this post and your handle I am now attracted to you. If we ever meet in real life, I'd like a smooch.

The correct answer is obviously "whoever would generate the most mainstream media coverage"

Obviously an attractive, young celebrity, male or female, tops that list.

Next, maybe a repeating well known pro, preferable Doyle.

Third, a woman, any woman.

Fourth, someone reasonably hip-looking, e.g. a young black male, maybe Darden.

I think the "internet unknown" has played itself out over the last two years and would no longer be a story.

Elmo, of course. If not Elmo, then some first-tourney-ever never-read-a-book-in-my-life luckbox that makes Moneymaker look like Barry Greenstein.

The more people that think that anyone can win at poker with just street smarts and instinct, the fuller my wallet will get.

Aamazon, since I have a small piece or her action. If that doesn't happen, I would love to see Greg win it again so all the haters will STFU for good.
