Mine arrived today too. Had it dleivered to work to avoid taxes and was antsy all day... got home and set it up in no time.... now i just new a computer that will let me run at 1600x1200... this laptop wont do it. Got to keep watching fat wallet for a cheap computer

After some minor problems with the video card I've got 2 monitors (1 2001FP) up and running and I must say, it's a wonderful setup.

Hey,

Did you try the web site Techbargins. They had the monitor coupons and had deals on other electronics (computers too). I couldn't avoid the taxes. Must win an extra pot [img]/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img] My monitor now costs more than my computer, I kind of want another one. But first I am going to take the budget route and have memory added to see if it will energize my current pc. I'm glad to hear the monitor was easy to connect (seemed to have quite a few peices).

I ordered mine for $506.75 shipped at about 3 am. However they estimate I won't receive it till 3/3-05-3/7/05. I called them up and they told me they are totally out of them and are waiting on more to be produced. Guess I'm not the only one that thought $506 was a good price. Just wait they wil go on sale again.

i'm going to wait till end of march for 2 reasons:

1) the new 24" LCD will be out. the prices of the 2001f should drop a little more.

2) end of quarter. if dell wants to up it's sales revenue so the stockholders can see it's still growing, prices can still drop some more.

for some reason, a company that is growing (more sales) but only only break even gets a higher stock price than a company that isn't growing but has higher profits.
