So i am the only perosn who is quite certain that .5/1 full ring is still a beatable limit?

[/ QUOTE ]

Both games at this limit on Party are very beatable. Those who can't beat either should stay at 25NL or not play.

Brutal honesty is what makes twoplustwo the caffeinated poker forum. I agree. And just so we have something else to talk about, the 6-max 25NL tables have killed the 25NL for me.

The 6 max games destroyed my 0,5/1 games.

I absolutely refuse to believe this is true.

I have zero urge to go there and check out the games personally...but feel completely confident in my belief that if you think the party full-ring 0.5/1 games are 'unbeatable' or are merely 'tough' then you have two options:

1. Give up poker

2. Learn how to play

You have to consider the idea that most players at .5/1, even those who are just playing tight on full-ring tables, are typically not the type of player who reads the books or studies even semi-frequently.
Thus, if you continue to work on your game you SHOULD be able to play better poker than them.

Also - there's nothing wrong with 6-max and anyone who can't beat the full-ring games should learn some appropriate aggression. Thankfully, there's 5 and 6-max tables out there to help one do that.

I haven't played a single full ring game since they started the .5/1 6-max, but I have a hard time believing this too. Has anyone else observed a change in the full ring games? Not that I'm ever going back.

Destroyed is the wrong word. However, it appears to have hurt them considerably.

Beatable? Of course. Plenty of decent to good tables? Sure. But ultra-juicy? Not anymore.

I've done a lot of bonus clearing over the past few months at .5/1.00 since I don't like to play my regular limits unless I'm sharp and concentrating, and my job has been wearing me out. It's usually pretty surprising to see less than 6-10 tables at 10BB or more average pot sizes. Yesterday, I played 423 hands at .5/1.00 and occaisionally one full ring game would hit 10BB pot average, and frequently there weren't any of that size on the list, not to mention no 11, 12, or 13 BB average pot size tables.

Small sample size though, and it wasn't during prime time.

The table vpip scores on party's .5/1 full have dropped well below 30, 20-25% is the norm, scores in the teens are not uncommon. Beatable? Probably. I didn't stick around long enough to find out.

The action has moved to 6max as far as .5/1 is concerned.

Being able to play SH is an essential skill. Atleast now it can be learned at a cheaper price for those who have smaller bankrolls. I am not going to play on Party until I get back home for my Vegas vacation, but I cannot wait to jump into these sure to be juicy games.
