"I just picked up my shiny blue shirt from the dry cleaners"

I always imagined you as the type of person who owned so many shiny blue shirts that you just throw them away after you wear them. What a let down.

That is correct. However, every time I buy a new one, I have it dry cleaned before wearing it.

I would like to get a burrito, but might not have time. If I can get stuff finished in time to get a burrito, I will be very excited.

I really hope you get your burrito

Man, this was a really f'd up part of the whole trip. My buddy calls me up as I'm about to go get my burrito and tells me he's going to be here a few minutes early. WTF? Who shows up early? I ended up getting a cold meatloaf sandwich at a place closer than the burrito place. That sandwich is great, but in retrospect, I should have stuck to the plan and made him wait.

OK, let's see.

Get there and decide to play an hour of BJ before dinner. Manage to go 0-for-9 w/ double-downs to be stuck a quick $2k before dinner. Nice.

Dinner at Wolfgang Puck's place at Mandalay Bay. Had squash soup and veal parm. Delicious. The hostess was super-hot. Next to us was a table with 7 fat girls and 1 hot girl. That was weird.

More blackjack, stuck $3k at one point, end the night stuck about $1500. The amount of drinking that has occurred between 6pm and 6am does not bode well for Saturday.

Some friends who have been watching poker on TV decide they want to check out Binion's, so we go there. They have a $60 rebuy tourney, so we all play it. With 5k chips left and 800-1200 blinds, two guys w/ 10k call to me in the BB. I push in my remaining 4k chips w/ T6o. First guy folds, second guy thinks a while and starts talking about pot odds. He calls. I flip over my hand and he flips over 78o!!!!! Unfortunately, he makes a pair. The funny part, though, was the CO flipping out when he sees our hands flipped over. Lose another $500 or so at BJ downtown. My hangover is of epic proportions.

Dinner at Delmonico's. After about 4 glasses of wine, my hangover finally starts to disappear. Instead of the usual bone-in ribeye, I went with a special. Trio of rack of lamb, pork tenderloin, beef tenderloin. Delicious. Foie gras to start. The next table over had a Knight Imperial (6L bottle) of Opus One. $5300. Nice. Our waitress was really hot. And 42. And a grandmother. That was weird.

More blackjack and a little craps. We were all betting $50 to $300 a hand. The woman next to us was betting $1000-3000/hand. Again end up going down to about $3k down at one point, but have a little streak to end the night down about $1300 for the trip. The hand of the trip was a friend's hand - he is down to his last $400 and ready to quit. He decides to make one last bet. He puts $300 in his pocket and bets $100. 44 against a dealer's 6. And then a third four and a fourth four - so he has to take out his three remaining hundreds. And two doubles, so he has to borrow $200 more from me. He doesn't make a hand over fourteen. Dealer flips a ten. Nice. And then an Ace. Ouch. To add insult to injury, the next 6 cards out of the deck are tens.

Walking back to my room, I notice a craps table going wild. I take a look. Guy rolls point, much cheering. Next roll, he craps out. There's a sigh at the table, then a second later, the entire table starts cheering and clapping for like a minute! Guy apparently rolled forever and ever. I am a little embarrassed to report that I stopped drinking Saturday at about 2am.

Sunday involved some blackjack and a little more losing. I think the net loss on the trip was somewhere between $1500 and $2000. More or less pretty much even the whole rest of the weekend after the first horrendous hour.

Oh, at the airport I try to hit the $1.1M progressive Wheel of Fortune jackpot but am unsuccessful. I do win like $40, though.

All in all, a great trip w/ some great friends, but outside of non-stop drinking for 12 hours Friday, really one of the lowest-key Vegas trips ever. I think this largely had to do with the fact that there just didn't seem to be that many hot girls in Vegas this weekend, especially at the Mandalay Bay, where we spent most of our time. The crowds at Rum Jungle, V Bar, the main casino bar, and Red Square all sucked. Oh well.

Next week is the bachelor party weekend, so I'll be sure to make up for the lack of debauchery this weekend.

I can't believe there were two responses commenting on the unhealthiness of one of the meals. Wow. You guys must be a riot to hang out with in Vegas.
