After sleeping on it, I think if we're going with "Best Rock Album" of 2005, I'd probably give my nod to Doves. Maybe part of that is because I think of them as more "rock" than a lot of the other albums I loved this year which I guess I think of more as pop, but whatever. Probably not my favourite album of the year, but if someone asked me for the best "rock" album of 2005, I'd probably point them to Doves' Some Cities and next to Spoon's Gimme Fiction.

The day this topic was posted on my way home from work NPR did a segment on Clap your hands and say yeah. About them getting on pitchfork and some other stuff kinda of interesting.

But still find the music annoying and that singer's voice shallow.
