Ferguson is such a donkey calling me with Ace Five!

I am further convinced Hellmuth is a huge gimmick account.

[/ QUOTE ]

NH, sir.

But seriously does Hellmuth not understand? I don't play much no-limit, but even I could see that the math added up given the range of hands Hellmuth could have. And Lederer even said that Jesus was getting the right price to call. But Hellmuth insisted it was a terrible call. Again, does he not understand or is he just a whining little brat? I know he's a good player blah blah blah, but it's hard to take him seriously.

Seriously? I would have said the same thing.

The A5s call was borderline at BEST. What are you actually beating? All the hands you are beating, you are a coinflip against.

Why must they deal the flop 1 card at a time? Damn Europeans. C'mon, it's a FLOP!

Gus just hit runner runner club for a flush and doubled up through Ivey.

Could someone post the next hand as quickly as it comes up please? I've been betting live on this event and just discovered that our coverage is 5 MINUTES behind.

Chance for a real coup here, although I think most people have already wised up.

All folded to Ulliott's A3o how long ago was that on your coverage?

I think on-air coverage is 5 minutes behind for the protection of the game. Ivey just took down a hand with AQ. The next hand Juanda raises with J5o, Ferguson folds A6

Re: Full TIlt Poker Invitational

Interesting, I think you might actually be behind us by a few seconds, thanks.

Market is moving before things happen by a big margin now. Previous events have been live and with much better information about stacks and stuff too, this is poor.

Thanks all

Lori

Re: Full TIlt Poker Invitational

Juanda went all in with KQo everyone folds. That was about a minute ago, I'm sure Europe may get it ahead of the US slightly because of the satellite transmission and things like that.

Lori 11-24-2005 10:07 PM

Re: Full TIlt Poker Invitational

Yes, definitely not much in it.

Someone has me by around six minutes here, which clearly isn't even worth betting on between hands, let alone on the flop.

What a waste of a live event These things are usually the nuts for betting on.

kev, you think this will end on time?

i agree i think other fsn live events did a better job of doing blinds and stack sizes

Kevmath 11-24-2005 10:11 PM

Re: Full TIlt Poker Invitational

They must be at the venue to have a 6 minute head start (assuming they're getting live updates).

I'm sure they'll end it on time, only if they really speed up the game. An easy way to do that would be to eliminate commercials every 10 minutes to get more hands in, I think they were at 52 hands 3 hours into the show. Maybe being in Monte Carlo causes some sort of problems in not being able to provide information in a timely manner.

Lori 11-24-2005 10:18 PM

Re: Full TIlt Poker Invitational

I have proof that the updates are live (I was told one flop 6 minutes ahead of time). I don't understand what the delay is for, this is the first time they have ever had more than a few second delay (in a live event on UK TV at least)

The person is not physically present in Monte Carlo, so I'm guessing radio.

Obviously if we can work out where ready for next time, there is rather a lot of money to be had

Incredibly I may break even on this whole fiasco, which would amuse me greatly

There's usually a delay on live poker tournaments in the US to prevent the situation you're talking about.

I love how they can show the cards as soon as they're dealt. I wonder how they implanted the microchips in the cards.

It seems like a pretty good show so far. I'm not sure how the general viewing public would like it, but it seems pretty good for the hardcore crowd.

Headsup between Juanda and Ivey, and Ivey wins a big pot with KK, so it's almost over. More than 3-1 for Ivey.

1) he used F and BS several times

2) he wore a board that advertised his website strapped on his back

3) he pointed out the number of Brits killed by American troops in the gulf

4) he was generally insulting through the evening

How the American TV station didn't turn his microphone off I'll never know, they've obviously never dealt with him before

The "dump" button had been hit on the Devilfish a few times earlier in the broadcast, that would've been noticed when there was silence in the broadcast as he was speaking.

Congrats to Phil Ivey, 2 days, 2 tournament wins, $1.6m.

once again this couldve been a better broadcast IMO.

wouldve been a amazing heads up between ivey and JJ if it were somewhat deepstacked like the ivey and jdags one

That entire exchange with Hellmuth was the funniest thing I've seen in a poker tournament since Tuan Le accused Paul Maxfield of catching a lot of cards.

And yeah, Devilfish dropped at least one fbomb while still miked. He also called Ivey and Juanda luckboxes, I believe.

I <heart> Devilfish. I just wouldn't want him at my table.

Helmuth: What a bad Call Ferguson made.

Helmuth whined for 5 minutes about Ferguson's call with A5. Helmuth moved in 96k with KJs. I laughed when I heard him but for those of you who saw the hand what do you think was Ferguson correct or was whinny Phil right. Bad Call-good call?

Re: Helmuth: What a bad Call Ferguson made.

I believe Phil was right in his whining because he had been playing tight the whole tournament so Chris should of put him on something better than what he had, imo.

Re: Helmuth: What a bad Call Ferguson made.

I watched part of it and I it sounded like every time Devilfish started talking they would cut him off or something. I might have been getting it delayed and a guy really hitting the dump button.

I believe it is incorrect for Jesus to call with his Ax, especially since Phil has been playing quite tight.
