If you need someone to fade, I'm the guy. After three weeks, I'm 1-11 and down $2600. That's gotta be good for last place. The only question now is: do I try to claw my way back to mediocrity, or do I go for the gusto and shoot for last place? For now, I'll try to get into the black.

Jets/Ravens OVER 31.5 -- Offenses so bad, they're good. I expect lots of fumbles, interceptions, and punts from the end zone, which will set up the offenses for easy scores. Besides, even a mistake free game could easily yield a 20-13 result.

Seahawks/Redskins OVER 36.5 -- Seattle has a good offense and a shaky defense; Washington can't support this under all by themselves.

49ers +3 over Cardinals -- I see no reason to think that the Cardinals are a better team than the Niners, or that they get any home field advantage whatsoever in Mexico City. Why would anyone lay points?

Giants -3 over Rams -- I could give the usual line about St. Louis being bad on the road and so forth, but that has nothing to do with it. The truth is that I'll be at the game, and the Giants are something like 7-1 in games I've attended. What? Nothing else seems to be working.

Pack : 8 is too many to give Favre on a Monday Night AND the Pack provided my only win in 2 wks, so I'm riding the FavreTrain until it dumps me off

Chiefs/Eagles UNDER : banged up McNabb, at Aerohead, pissed off Chiefs D, so Eagles O will struggle. Good Eagles D that should be able to handle the chiefs O.

Broncos : The broncos have their run game going now and should be better than 4pt dogs here

Ravens : I know, they can't score, but 3FG and a shutout by the D covers. The Jets are going to roll over here.

Lions +7 I'm a pretty big fan of this game. Alright, the Bucs are pretty much the same team as the Bears. They run the ball well they play the exact same defense. I like Mooch though with the week off to rally the troops and to look at the film to sure up what was a pretty good run defense and to take it to the Bucs who are riding just a little too high.

Jets +7 1/2 Jets are down and their season looks like it is dead. Herm Edwards may just be the best motivator in all of pro sports. This just looks to me like one of those games you'll be watching on Sunday mouth open going wow. Then with the newfound hopes the Jets will [censored] the bed for the rest of the year.

Bills Pick I'm fading the Saints for the rest of the year with the lone exception of the first game at LSU. This team is tired and whiney. Losman may look like crap, but the Saints have had trouble stopping the run and their offense has always been turnover prone.

Chiefs -2 1/2 I've been a little back and forth on this pick. I won't be playing it for real money. There is just something about a cross country trip to a tough place to play that I think will cause the Eagles some problems. Of course without CCx calling for an easy Eagles win I'm a little concerned about KC.

$400 Jaguars -4 The Jaguars defense has played solid all year long. I look for a big letdown from Denver after playing a near perfect game on Monday night at home. This team is much different on the road and had a short week.

$300 Ravens -7.5 I think Anthony Wright is better than Kyle Boller anyway. This is a situation where a great defense will stack the line and force the Jets to pass to beat them. I think the defense will create turnovers and also great field position all game long. The Ravens may score 30 just like Chicago did a couple weeks ago.

$200 Redskins -2 Once again I am going with a strong defense playing at home. After a bye week, they should be healthy and ready to play this week. I am not sold on Seattle on the road either.

$100 Falcons -6 I always like to bet on good defenses and teams that run the ball well. Those teams always seem to control the tempo of the game. This game is no different. Minnesota has problems on the defensive line right now. Atlanta should be able to move the ball against them and control the game.

I also played two teasers this week. The one in the NFL is Atlanta +0.5 and Tampa Bay -0.5 (basically a pick for each team). The other is in college. I have Iowa -11 and USC -9.5. I think both these teams roll this week.
