Re: Favorite Hands
[ QUOTE ]
Playing $1/$2 NL on Stars the other night, I get 92o in the BB. 6 players to the flop (no pre-flop raises). Flop is A45 rainbow. SB checks, I check, bet of $2, raised to $4, re-raised to $8, LP calls the $8, SB folds, I call the $8, two more calls. I think the call on the flop was the most questionable play I made, but I had a pretty good read on both of the LP players. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah...I would have to agree. Calling 4 bets cold out of position, with no pair and a gutshot straight draw is a bit questionable. Good thing you had a read on them. |

Re: Favorite Hands
it has nothing to do with superstition, buy my fav hands in NL cash games are suited 1 gappers, specifically, 6/8, 7/9, and 8/10. They are so hard for opponents to spot when they hit.

Re: Favorite Hands
I like the ones that are EASY to fold like the montana banana.
I just started playing a few months ago. I noticed all these players with the nick 'suited69' or the ilke. So, I started playing suited 69 every time I could. Well, it ain't no magic hand! I think these people really just have their minds on dinner. As for playable favs, I like suited 76 and 65 in late position when there have been EP raises. I figure they have the high end covered, let me see what I can do with the middle. |

I'm surprised no one said Presto.

My favorite hand is the winning hand I do seem to hit a lot of sets with 77.

Re: Favorite Hands
K9o and K8o were the two biggest money losers in my poker traker database. I've stopped playing those hands. They won around 12% of the time... ugh.
