Good eye... I capped the flop with my "3 bet"

Thanks for your support - your little girl comment was concise and fuckin' funnny. Him slowing down was what led me to believe that I could have that pot.
It wasn't unheard of for him to raise the flop or preflop so I thought he may have had a worse hand; but his passive turn/river play really made me question my reads. This guy twice before, IMHO, missed a good bet when he was ahead, but KK here? I don't know, I'm just going to keep working on putting people on hands.

Thanks, Jonathan

All the betting pre-flop screams JJ-AA, or maybe AKs

With all due respect JB, I've got a wierd feeling that you've never been to the Palace Casino at West Edmonton Mall.

I think that backing down preflop is almost always incorrect at my 3/6 game. And on the flop the overpair is probably good most of the time- I can truly envision him playing preflop/flop/turn the same with AJs incl. a possible backdoor flush draw from the flop. Then I bet the river 'cuz I thought he felt beat, and he did. But you know low limit players- he called.

Nope. Never been there.

I'm sure you're right. I was just saying that the pre-flop action, combined with the flop action tells me you're likely behind. In my first post, I didn't suggest automatically folding, just slowing down.

Hey ThinkQuick,

Don't cap the flop. Call the 3-bet and raise the turn. If you were headsup, I would've played it the same, except checked through the river. But with the presence of a 3rd party, call the 3-bet and raise a turn bet. If he 3-bets there you can safely fold and not feel bad about it.
