What's the difference between these and deviled eggs? Or Eggs Benedict? WTF are these things?

I'm pretty sure one of the above is horribly disgusting though. Just not sure which.

[/ QUOTE ]You've never had devilled eggs or eggs benedict??

[/ QUOTE ]

No. Perhaps you don't understand that these things are not commonly eaten unless you live in Canada or Wisconsin.

weird I thought eggs benedict was a widespread thing. It's what I always head straight for at Vegas buffets. Anyways eggs benedict is awesome.

If I were a cliched [censored] I would use the Dodgeball "threw up in my mouth" line right here.

Yes, they're surprisingly good.

Trip Report:

1. Google Hard Boiled Egg (I am a 21 yr old male)

2. Place 3 delicious eggs in medium saucepan and cover with 1" extra of cold tap water. Bring to rolling boil, reduce heat to medium boil and anxiously wait 10 minutes. After 10 minutes place in the small saucepan which I cleverly filled with cold water (this prevents the inside from turning green , who knew!) Wait 3 more agonizing minutes...

3. Dry off eggs and try to peel them. These eggs are going very well with a Goose Island 312 Urban Wheat Ale. Peeling them was a task of moderate difficulty.

4. ...

5. Profit

Pickled eggs? Only if they're purple.

Seriously, I have the recipe for Really Hot Purple Pickled Eggs if anyone's interested. They're quite good, and you can adjust the fire level to your personal taste.

I've also done Scotch eggs, but that's been 20 years or so. (No, alcohol is not involved.)

Scotch eggs are great. You must have those in North America, right?

eggs, wrapped in sausage meat balls, and then breadcrumbed sort-of?

Tell me you have!

Actually no, not that I've seen. I have a recipe from a British cookbook, but they are great.

You are severely overcooking them. This can hurt the taste.

A large egg will hardboil in 9 or 10 minutes when put in water that is already boiling. Put the egg in the boiling water, and count down from when the water starts to boil again.

Overcooking eggs can make the middle change taste, even get a sulfur type of smell/taste.
