I have a pair of Swan M200s they own. Got them at www.av123.com

if you don't plan on gaming and need them for music consider self-amplified speakers. Many applications.

Yeah, maybe I should've specifiec. This is more or less for movies/music. I don't need something awesome for music, just something that a) doesn't suck donkey balls and b) has a headphone jack.

I thought Ron Burgunday was a red-blooded San Diegan with an enormous erection, not a poofter.

So you would reccommend something like this?

Anyone have any opinions on this set by creative?

Creative bought out Cambridge Soundworks and immediately started crapping out their line, basically whoring out the name. Cambridges had good variety in quality depending on which model you got(I am still using the best computer one they had from many years ago, a 2.1 set). Now that Soundblaster took over and broadened out their line and crapped it up, it's most important than ever to give the speakers a listen yourself to make up your mind about them.

People look for really different things in speakers. Full on Tards tend to just look for what has the most bass, ones a step above them sometimes are satisfied as long as there is plenty of treble. A lot of music takes place in the mid-ranges, and that gives it a lot of a feeling of depth and fullness. Satellites tend not to reproduce mid-range all that well, being so small.

It's worth taking a trip to the store with a couple of your own CD's that you're familiar with and that cover a broad range of sound, so you try and find the sound that appeals to you most.
