Thanks for the replies. Yabastid, not angry or annoyed at all, thats the first thing I thought when I read that post though, felt kind of condescending the way it was put. I am trying to gain an understand of the pitfals of playing poker through this post, I'm being very careful in making my decisions. Thank you for your advice.

Yeah so my other option is to go back and get an certified to teach, and play poker in the summers, which right now is sounding like a much better plan... Thank you for the replies though.

The thing is, if you concede that the quality of your game falls below profitable when your passion decreases, and moreover argue that this has happened before, than you have a serious problem on your hands.

I don't know of a single pro (ring, SNG or MTT) who hasn't gone through prolonged stretches of downright boredom and according indifference to the game. If you can't make money when you feel that way, you can't go pro.

Just me .002.
