I suspect you just got beat by a straight. Yes, you should have bet this flop--you allowed any drawing hand a free turn card. In reality the flop bet is only protecting you against 1,2, and 3 (maybe 4) outers, but at least it's doing that. If your free turn card improves anyone to a 7 outer (or worse, two pair, set, or a straight), then they are correct to call (or bet in the case of two pair, a set, or straight) a turn bet. You have to bet the flop, but in reality, both of these morons are going to call.

Bet the flop. I never check/raise when I am the preflop aggressor unless I have some maniac behind me and even then I am more likely to bet into him instead of C/R. I also don't like the check here because if it gets checked through, there are a few scare cards that can come on the turn such as 6,9,10 and a J. (People love playing suited connectors)

Other than that, the hand is fine.

*grunch*
On the flop you should go for c/r or just bet out. I don't know which is better at this case. Turn is fine. SB could be on a draw with that board and probably isn't going to bet out so you should. If he had AQ or 99 he was taking the worst of it. River is fine if you don't have any reads.

Gotta bet the flop. I'd go bet, bet, bet and then call the river. Pot is big enough I'd say.
