It is amazing anyway that they started a forum suggestion-forum on saturday and on sunday two changes are already implemented as a result of it. Kudos to 2+2!

Well Chuck finally has his own forum. It should be easy for him to stay on top of whats posted here and give prompt attention. Really, that is the best reason to have this forum.

I'm patting myself on the back using quick reply. Thank you, 2+2. I love you.

It's a sad life, isn't it?

Ugh, I still hate the quick reply. I really think we'll see negative consequences -- more one-line chatty comments, as if this were an IM session. Threads that become conversational will just be like a chat lobby as opposed to a strategy discussion section.

Take away the Quick Reply!!!

how is it different other than you have to click one less button?

I like it for the sole reason that it allows you to reply to a certain post while still being able to go back and see the original action in the OP.

Yeah, this is one benefit that I like. But most of the time you're replying to a strategy post you'll reply to the OP, which you can see during a normal reply and thus be able to refer to said action even without the quick reply feature. I think the rare times you're replying to another post in the thread but still want to have the OP handy do not outweigh the negative consequences.

I dunno, maybe it's not such a big deal, but I've just noticed that other message boards which have quick reply features like this are more like chatrooms and less like intelligent discussion fora.

Hmm, I feel like I am very often replying to other replies and not the OP, and this combined with the problems using the back button after the new upgrades make it a huge pain in the ass to take a look at the OP while replying to someone else.
