my parents often don't supervise my little sisters TV.

Well then, the obvious solution is to make sure that the TV supervises their children for them.

Censorship is a moral and stupid. Outlawing several words as bad is one of the most ridiculous concepts mankind has ever thought of.

Block the channel if you don't like it. The market should decide this. I don't want some watered down Walmart version of TV mandated because your parents are too lazy to control what shows their kids watch.

[/ QUOTE ]

your opinion- fair enough. It's not just my parents though. What about all the other kids that can't be supervised 24/7? And even if my parents are there channel surfing and supervising, the words can still pop up.

It'll be a sad day when we start hearing "f#ck" on TV, imo

what if instead of the word Fu*k the word fack was used. It would mean exactly the same thing and be used in exactly the same contex; fack you you motha facker! Why does this word not get censored, but Fu*k would??

Swear words are ridiculous and are only "bad words" because wecontinue to make them so. Society should rejoice the day when Fu*k is allowed on TV (or this forum for starters) AS it will be the beginning of a new world where logic and reasoning reign over prudish censor boards.

be that as it may, i believe it's a parents responsibility here, censorship is pretty lame. TV is just one of a million things kids can/will do and i don't think it's practicle for me to decide which are appropriate within the private home.

Yes, and it's not terribly expensive. If your parents can't afford it, or are having problems with their children watching material that they are unable regulate with some common sense, then they shouldn't be having kids.

I'll bet your decision has gone unappreciated, but if more people had that kind of common sense we'd all be a lot better off. Good job

Ummmm...They've probably only heard the word "bitch" about 14 million times already going to school, hanging out with their friends, or whatever. They'll be fine........
