ur ahead of AJ, KQ, kj OR some sort of bluff

u think a tight player bets TT on flop here?

i just think you have to pay him off, or bet the turn. the pot is still small and i think ur good enuff times for it to be correct to call

[/ QUOTE ]

If I tight player doesn't bet 1010 on that flop, then a tight player doesn't bet KQ on that flop either, and I doubt a tight player raises KJ preflop.

I think my river fold was marginal ... but I really don't think I win this often enough to call.

maybe not KJ, but i see KQ betting there more than TT. why check the turn?

Re: $10 Deepstack

Perhaps I should have bet ~2/3 pot on the turn and hoped to be able to check behind on the river.

My reason for checking the turn was that I figured I was behind every hand that he would call/raise with, and that he wouldn't bet again on the river with any hand that I beat.

I can think of two (possibly three) better ways to play this hand. Which of these do you think is best?

(1) Open push the flop.
(2) Push preflop.
(3) Fold preflop.

Stack size is the most important consideration here, IMO. SB has been making some loose calls preflop for 3-4xBB raises but will check-fold if he misses. CO has been pretty reasonable so far, stealing in obvious spots, but otherwise i haven't seen anything particularly fishy from him.

CO (t76191)

Nothing? I'd really like to get some feedback on this, so I'm going to bump it just this once. Thanks.

Re: bump

Push PF if CO is opening loose.
Otherwise you can call and push that flop but if CO has an ace he's probably calling.
You COULD always fold preflop... but you want to know the best line to get the chips here, don't you?

Yes, I'd like to get the chips here. I could fold preflop -- In the 400 hands I've played so far in this tournament I haven't seen JJ,QQ,KK at all, and I've only seen AA once in the BB (folded around to me) -- so i have a false confidence that these monster hands are waiting for me right around the corner.

However, the pot odds are just a little too good for me to give up preflop, and I feel like I have enough of a stack to have some fold equity if I catch either a ragged flop or one that hit me a little. Plus, my stack is small enough that a check-raise all-in will probably guarantee a caller -- my biggest mistake in this hand, IMO. At any rate, folding PF is my third choice.

Finished 18th, made a play on an aggressive player who was raising almsot every button and cutoff first in. I personally am very happy with pushing 8.5 hours into the tourney with J3 offsuit, because its a very hard call for villian to make getting 1.6 to 1. THATS ALL
