Re: Top Ten Notes to Take

pf I look for what they raised ep with, and I always note an openlimp from the hijack or later. If they raise loose from ep, then I can reraise more frequently to isolate. If they openlimp from lp, then I have to respect lp raises as real hands.

ex:
rsd sm pp from mp1
coldcapped KXs
openlimped CO

On the flop, I always look for what players do when they miss or are drawing. Its these two areas that notes are both most consistent, and most useful. Continuation bets with nothing are always useful. I also like to see if they will bet into a crowd (3+ people) last to act when checked to.

ex.
chkd thru flp w mid pr
raised fl drw HU
cont bet w nothing
bet/fold into 4 ppl

default drawing plays on the flop are the places where players both differ greatly from each other, and where players tend to repeat themselves in different hands.

On the river, players tend to define thier own thoughts as to how strong they feel any given hand is. Some people know when to value bet with A hi, others dont.

ex.
chkd thru R w md pr
bet tptk into 4fl brd
didnt raise nuts
