Re: Bubble push with AQ

my confusion relates to "with 4 players left play even tighter" kind of stuff.

With regards to calling, possibly (depends). With regards to pushing? No way.

so say the situation is switched, he pushes in SB, and i'm in BB. given my stack is even less now, and the blind structure, do i call?

With AQo? Absolutely. With KJs? It depends.

alright.. yeah i guess i'm just confused overall for hand selections when short stacked and close to the bubble, or even ITM.

Well, don't go blanket calling with AQo. I mean if you had the 2k stack or whatever, and the 3k stack pushed, and the other two were on 800, and the blinds were 150/300, you should probably generally fold. But when you are the shortest or 2nd shortest stack, and facing a push from the 2nd shortest or shortest, AQo is virtually a mandatory call. But KJs, you are likely to be behind and he would need to be pushing a large range; however if the blinds are sufficiently high, and you think your chances are better to take this chance as a dog than get chips from the 2k and 3k stacks, then a call is perfectly ok.

right.. also when my stack is low enough, basically i push with just about anything if not doing so will have me blinded out, say in the next orbit?
