It will be dead compared to the weekend, but there should still be some good action. And if not, shop around after putting in the hours. There will certainly be 10-20, 20-40, etc.

I've been lucky enough to get the Borg poker rate probably about 3 seperate weekends. Each time I've called a month or two in advance and haven't had a problem getting it even when 6/12 was the highest I had previously played there. Like Jeff said, the key is to just plan ahead of time if you can do it.

FWIW, I called down there today; while this thursday was no good, monday of next week was in fact open. Pretty short notice, obviously...

Btw, it seems like the best rates for weeknight rooms right now might be at the Trop...ends up being about $71 after taxes, etc. (I think it was $58 "face value"). I'll probably just end up doing that and then heading over to Taj/Borgata to play. I might play a little at the Trop (I've heard the 4/8 game there is fun), but probably not too much.

I have called a month ahead and have never had problems getting a Saturday night room at the Borg in the summer. Also, since you are calling the main reservation number, I don't think the level of your play matters (I play 10-20 and 20-40). It is not like the Taj, where you feel like you're negotiating with the poker room. I think any vacation period will be harder.
