Fold. No reason to get involved here with a very marginal hand.

I think the fact that he has <8 BB is plenty reason. And I don't know that ATo is a marginal hand from the CO with 1 limper.

I disagree on both points. So, I guess there's nothing more to be said.

A10 looks like strong hand but will lose a lot to AJ. That is why I prefer the raise with AJ and you should fold this unless you think bad guy has a pockets pair and you will get an ace. I hope this is making sense with you because this is how I play.

And how often when you play will you limp with AJ with 5 BB remaining in your stack?

[/ QUOTE ]

I will not limp the AJ because I put my chips in before the flop.

Sure there is. What range would limp this hand? I say it's AJ-A2, 88-22, KQ, KJ, QJ, JT.

I like my chances against all these except for AJ. So, if called, pushing puts you in a coin-flip or better generally. If you push and he folds, you pick up 1/3 your stack in dead money. I think the dead money tips the scales.

I'd like to know what range you put him on.

Note - my first reaction was same as yours, but then I thought about his potential limping hands and I now go the other way.

All the more reason to push AT after the limp, right?

It doesn't matter what *I* would do in villain's position.

OP said limper hasn't been aggressive. So he could very easily be dominating me, and there's still people behind me to act.

I find a better spot. ATo is just too shaky against anything but a weaker A. I'd have to be down below 5BB to go to war here.
