Yes, they can and will. I was in Tunica with a friend and he was underage and the situation happened where he went to cash out and couldnt produnce an ID and they kept his chips and had him escorted from the building.

So far we have gotten answers everywhere from No way, probably not, probably, and definately. Does anyone know for sure. Can someone find a link to the applicable policies or laws? I sure know I couldnt...

it just depends on the casinos rules, i guess. i don't know if a casino would have a written rule on whether or not if an underage player is caught gambling, they will keep their money. just call the casino and ask them. they're not going to track down your phone number.

if you asked people if it was illegal to speed and some people said they didnt get speeding tickets. others said they did get tickets. what would you conclude?

also are you this lazy? i just did a search in the B&M forum for the last year for "underage" and got 176 hits. you can probably find something in there.

call the casino and find out.

Seriously though, people get way too freaked out about being underage in a casino. It will be VERY rare if you get carded in most poker rooms and most fakes should do just fine. It's not like they are going to let you buy chips, than say ID and kick you out and take the chips.

While I also got as many hits, almost none addressed this issue or were applicable, and if they did, the issue was not answered definitively. Your kind of condescending attitude really gets on my nerves, and that of a lot of other posters. I did nothing to antagonize you and would appreciate you treat me with respect until I give you reason otherwise.

Again, thanks for your sarcasm and lack of constructive input.

Why is this such a difficult question? Call the New Jersey Gaming Commission, or whatever they have there, and ask. Do it from a pay phone if you're paranoid.

Whether a casino licensed by the state can confiscate your chips is not a matter of casino policy, rumor, whim, or urban legend. It's a matter of law. Ask them. While you have them on the phone ask what else can happen to you if you get caught underage in a casino, without ID, or with a fake one.

Dude, you're asking people to do your research for you. Multiple posters have said they've seen it happen, and while there's some small chance the casinos did it illegally, the logical conclusion is, yes, they can take your chips if you're underage.

This isn't hard.
