When I get a song stuck in my head that I wish wasn't there, I use the "J. Geil's Defense".

Either listen to, or mentally run through "Centerfold" by the J. Geil's Band. It will trump any song in your head.

I don't really feel the need. I think he sucks, but that's that. But saying he's the great singer/songwriter is just a joke. I'm not even a huge fan of the VERY OBVIOUS #1 pick for this but I'll definitely concede he's it.
