I love black & white, even just for ordinary non-scary dramas. "Good Night, and Good Luck" and "The Man Who Wasn't There" are two good recent examples of beautiful-looking films. Especially the Coen bros. film, which is among their best ever.

Um clearly Clerks is the best B & W movie.

I havent been scared by a B & W but the closest has to be Psycho.

Once you have seen it, it is impossible not to think of Repulsion at least once every day of your life thereafter.

Jeez, there's so many, and I've seen em all, and they didn't occur to me...

I'd add 'cape fear' for the scene with Mitchum alone with that young girl...
