if you know he is going to bet enough to make your redraw incorrect with only a hand that beats you and check everythin else behind, then you should bet the turn for 200 , fold to a raise.

Push the turn anyways and curse yourself out for re-raising too small on the flop.

Really think he calls with anything besides a flush(or straight) there though?

Who cares? Are you going to complain about taking home $500+? Are you going to fold if you bet less and he pushes? Yes, I agree this is a sub-optimal situation but that's because you messed up the flop. If I were teleported into your situation, I would push the turn. It always looks weak to these guys and they always call.

I'm pretty much not folding this hand now, so I agree with the who cares attitude, but still wonder what is optimal. I won this hand, actually he folded to my turn bet, but I am curious If I played a hand poorly, even if I didn't get punished for it.

I pretty much hated all my turn options, but really hated checking, hated betting small and folding to a raise even more, and thought I only got called by a better hand if I pushed. So I bet $340 thinking I may get a call from a worse hand from him for that price.

Re: deep stacked set hand

Does anyone push this right at the flop to prevent draws? There's already a pretty good sized pot. Also, pushing here is pretty much only going to get lower sets to call, and all the other draws to fold.

Doesn't this just about guarantee a good profit?

I'm not used to playing with deep stacks, and am curious how this usually plays out.

I realize you'd be giving up some value of playing it a little bit slower - but is it worth the risk?
There are 2 suited cards on the board, and villain could also have a potential OESD.

Does 3-betting it keep out enough draw hands anyway? Biggest concerns would probably be something like A9suited or JTs

$340 is giving him pretty close to correct odds to draw out on you. And I doubt he calls what is so obviously a value bet without a better hand. I really think pushing is more likely to get a loose call than $340 here against this type of player.
