well my read is that player's don't usually check-raise with an ace here.

Why not? I find a lot of people will fold to a bet this size, so if I can risk so few chips then why not? I also sometimes bet my hands this small, especially if there are no draws out. Bad idea? If so, please explain your reasoning.

fold to $15, dont think, just fold also if a Q comes you lose ur stack to AJ, JJ, AQ, AA. easy fold.
