the wiazrd of westwood: you could look up honor, integrity, teaching, being a good man; and john wooden's picture would be there; with no text; it would speak for itself; what amazed me; is that sure; after he got ucla going; his recruiting was tops; but he also handled some very dificult personalities (aka walton) in an era when respect and tradition were being challenged and threatened; but wooden was so genuine: he overcame it..
btw anthony robbins published a series of interviews of successfull individuals; and if you ever get a chance to listen to tony's interview of coach wooden; well; i would do it.. btw; robbins also interviewed dog; long before tv shows and such; that was a worthwhile tape too... yikes; i agree with an icicle-head.. lol gl [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] |

Distant #1. I've based all my coaching philosophies around things I've read by and about him.

A few years back a few co-workers saw him give a speech at a business conference in town. They said it was the most amazing speech that they have ever heard. He's an amazing person.
