Your subject gives away that you are results oriented. Most of the time, you should 3-bet this river and crying-call a cap. Oftentimes, villain donk-raises with 2 pair, slow-played TPTK, or just some attempt at donk-scaring.

I did 3 bet, I crying called the cap. Its not results oriented, its just annoying given the situation. I honestly think I made the right decision, I was just curious what others thought of it.

OK, true enough. But even tho they hate you now, you should love the PPs. When they hit their set, they hold up 75% of the time to the river.

CO is a poster and if he holds 3-4 he could not really have played this hand much differently. Just saying he may suck, but not necessarily for calling all the way to the river.

Oddly enough... According to PT stats, my most productive small pocket pair has been 66. Its an abberation, because I have hit sets with them a disproportionate number of times, and in another 100K+ hands it will go back where it belongs. I am actually up on 66 and down an almost equal amount on TT.

I would have guessed he had a 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. If the river card really helped him, how so? Yeah 66, two pair with a 6, or the 7 and 8 of clubs. If it didn't help him what are the chances he slowplayed a good hand (IMO nada in this case with the clubs out there) or he's on a stoned cold bluff. Probably have to call, not sure a re-raise was right but I could be convinced otherwise.
