Re: New Game at Wynn... $10/20 mix!!
Yeah, part of the problem may be that I've never read any literature or played it ever. I don't even know of any literature that exists. In general still feel pretty uncomfortable with the stud games since I have so much less experience with that format. Position is different, there are no blidns, it's weird man! If I had it my way we would only play the button games, but gotta be ableto compromise or the games would never go.
Bugstud - we can't eliminate holdem because if we did I would feel like a goober 100% of the time instead of the current 85% or whatever. Dan (Theman) my name is Patrick |

your edge should be much higher in any other non-holdem game. I personally stole the blinds 4 hands in a row in holdem, but would get sick sick action on other games.

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, the holdem is much tighter I'm sure because most of the players are most used to holdem. Last time I played in that game I had the beautiful experience of raising and winning uncontested 3 pots in a row, then making the fourth opening raise with AA. I always thought the triple draw section was beautifully soft(raise then draw 3, or coldcall raise then draw 3 etc). Maybe the others are too but I'm just too much of afish at those to notice. |

I think razz is OK as long as they play sutd8 and not stud hi/lo with not qual like they do at bellagio. [/ QUOTE ] it's called hi/lo regular. i don't understand why people like playing this game. it's so frustrating. it makes razz looks like hot sex. |

[/ QUOTE ] Triple Draw - Other Poker & Super System II (remember, Daniel doesn't consider pot size at all, but you should) Razz - Try to master Triple Draw 2-7 first, then read Sklansky on Poker. Your eyes will open up like never before. Also TOP of course. TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] |

That's awesome. I definitely would play more at the casinos in my area if they spread a game like that.

Re: New Game at Wynn... $10/20 mix!!
Only reason people play Razz is because they all think they can win a game where the worst hand wins -
And then most of the reason people hate the game is because while you can start out with great pockets in a Stud game and have them hold up without improvement, you are ALWAYS on the draw in a Razz game, and so are your opponents - the goal is to suckout better then your opponent - so that can set people off... but I started playing it after FT Poker offered it - nice diversion.
