Pimp no doubt, as long as the cuff links arent too over the top.

I think a lot of how pimp it looks depends on the cuff links/knots you wear.

Are knots the same thing as studs (ie: used in place of buttons down the front of your shirt)?

EDIT: I just looked at the page in your link, apparently all those shits have buttons. In that case I think it's just stupid.

Do you mean buttons down the front of the shirt? That is pretty standard when it comes to french cuff dress shirts you wear with a suit. These shirts do NOT have buttons on the cuffs, the pics just have make it look a bit like that, I guess as placeholders. I've only seen studs used w/ tux shirts, but I'm sure non-tux shirts like that exist as well.

If I had a dollor for every time I've thought about this question....

stupid.

also, if banana republic think buttons and loud big stripes make for a classy shirt they are severly mistaken. i just see so many people go out wearing ugly striped shirts, ugh.

I'm a huge fan of French Cuff shirts as are most girls I know. Most are rather impressed. It is the little details that can make all the difference in appearance.

French cuffs = Totally PIMP

I saw some guy win a tourny on TV a week ago or so. He had the look you describe. Jeans, white shirt and reeeeally flashy cuff links. I usually wear BR or A&F shirts. I think the look that works best is if the cuffs are folded back and no links. I was actually thinkng about getting a couple of french cuff shirts. 'Cause, you know, I'm pimp.

Most French cuff shirts come with buttons as fillers for were the cuff links go. You just pop out the buttons and replace with a pair of cuff links.

Secondly, I guess I was mainly expecting to hear from people who think it's a normal option to wear french cuff shirts with suits. In a number of places, especially NY/Europe/Asia, it is almost standard to wear french cuff shirts with suits. But a lot of people who wear these shirts to work every day think it's crazy to wear them when not wearing a suit. And their head explodes at the idea of a dressy casusal french cuff shirt and jeans.

That about sums it up.
