I play a lot by feel, but I imagine if I probed and saw a call, I'd slow down. I'd expect I'd check the turn, but unless I'm reading QQ here, I'm probably getting my chips in if he raises.

The key point here is that I didn't put him on QQ after I decided to see the flop. Given the details, I should have been able to do this, or alternatively should have been more cautious with AKo preflop.

I need to dig up the most dangerous hand thread and put in a vote for AK. It really challenges me late more often than I'd like, and I so often overestimate its strength.

I have to admit to being unsure of where I was on the turn, and wasn't checking to setup the C/R. When his raise came out small, I didn't put it on a value raise, but rather quickly thought that this was move by a weaker or equal holding that I could push off the hand if I showed strength.

Think I played it pretty bad ;-)

I push here hoping I've just found AJ, or KQs etc probing.

If AJ/KQ is in his re-raising range then push preflop.

If you push, you're only going to get called by hands that beat you. Check-call, induce a bluff.
