I play party and I hear the same theories. First thing I realized was "Hey! I have been in the same situation- all of a sudden being hit by obscene cards and circumstances." But of course, I have never withdrawn any money.

I think what you are experiencing is natural variation, and you and so many people out there are drawing unnecesary comparisons by human nature.

You're buying into a myth.

Sounds like they have turned off the WINMODE flag. You need to contact stockman on these boards for strategy tips on dealing with this problem.

Is this a reasonable concern/theory or am I just buying into a myth.

It's certainly possible to go on a cold streak after cashing out. But it's equally possible to go on a cold streak before cashing out.

There is no realistic way that you can make any logical correlation.

No, it is less likely. If you have a cold streak you are less likely to be able to cash out.

Ding ding! Losing players will likely have to be on a real heater to build up any amount of money they want to cash out. Then, as they will usually be losing, they will (shockingly) usually lose after cashing out. Their losing brains then find a correlation, which as everyone who took Psych 101 knows, does not prove causation.

And you wouldn't expect them to blame their own poor play, would you???
